Here’s the procedure for loading images:
1) Be sure you are logged on to the forum.
2) There are two main ways to insert an image:
A) Upload an image from your computer
B) Identify (direct link) where the image is located on the Internet.
A) If you plan to upload an image from your computer:
3) Either start a thread or reply to a post.
4) In the window that opens, click on the Insert Image box (the small box with an image of mountains and a sun in it right above where you type).
5) When prompted, select the image file from your computer (browse). The URL must be located inside the code as in this example: (img)http://www.birdchannel.com/macaw.jpg(/img).
B) If you plan to use an image located on a web server:
3) Either start a thread or reply to a post.
4) In the window that opens, click on the IFCode Shortcuts for an image, (img)(/img).
5) Copy (highlight then "Ctrl + C"), Type or paste ("Ctrl + V") the URL Address for the image. The URL must be located inside the code as in this example: (img)http://www.birdchannel.com/macaw.jpg(/img).
6) When completed with the post, click either the “Post New Topic” box or the “Post Reply” box
Be aware that every browser may not be compatible with every button or option available on our web site.
If you have the file uploaded to the internet, you can highlight the picture (i.e. click to the side othe picture, then scroll over the picture till it turns blue), Copy (either right click and "Copy" or pess "Ctrl + C), then go into a post and then Paste (right click and down to "Paste" or press "Ctrl + V").
Or, you can upload a picture into a post, via clicking on a little button above the post that looks like two mountains and a sun. This will allow you to either upload a picture from your computer (you must know where the file is on your computer in order to upload it), or one from another sight, as long as you have the URL of the photo... If you need to get the URL of a photo, right click on the photo, and go down to "Properties". Once there, highlight the "Address" or "Url", Copy it, then Paste into the bar where it says to "Link to Image". For reference, view these two photos...
