I joined this forum seeking help with my 4-5 year old leopard gecko. He has not been eating for the past few months and has also had trouble shedding some skin from the top of his head. I have tried crickets, mealworms, waxworms, to no avail. Sometimes I can get him exciting by putting a worm near him or when he looks into the food dish. He will go in his position like he is about to quickly attack and eat the worm but he just slowly moves his nose closer and closer then touches the worm and doesn't eat it. Sometimes he will try to attack it and miss. He used to always get the food on his first try.

I have a warm side of 88 and a cool side of 70 (I should work on that) My gecko sheds regularly every few weeks, and he used to eat his sheddings but does not anymore. He is still active, drinks lots of water, and I have not noticed much shrinking of his tail but fear he is unhealthy. I bought him with a regrown tail.

I admit to not being the best of caretakers but I really want to help my gecko as much as i can. I do not have a hide box, in his 10g tank. Please ask as many questions as you think will help me and Thank you so much in advance for your help!
