This reminds me of a topic I posted a short while back when I'd gotten a new female who appeared to be gravid. Thank god, she wasn't, it was just a strange placing of fat deposits. She's eating, growing, and gaining weight like a champ now and completely adapted to her new home smile.gif

But now I have another problem.

So here's the issue:
I went back to school for this term (just another two months) and left my babies (aka my small colony of leopard geckos) at home under the care of my sister. She was under strict instructions to keep the sexes separated because only one of my females is old enough to breed. I told her we would breed them this summer.

Well.

She calls me and tells me that the thinks our 6 (almost 7) month female is gravid, and she thinks she may have accidentally put one of our males with her once by accident.

Well, I'm furious, and I'm terribly worried about my girl. I don't want to lose her because of a stupid choice on my sister's part.

Here's what I know:
She's 6 (almost 7) months old. She weighs 53g. She's been eating the calcium like candy, turning down most meals, and the once calm, sweet leo has turned into a squirming chirping mess. She hates being held now (according to my sister) and spends all of her time lying on the warm side of the cage.

Here's what I said to my sister (as civilly as I could):
Treat her just like an adult gravid leo. Make sure she always has calcium. Make sure she's always got water. Make sure her lay box is always moist. Don't handle her unless you have to. Above all, don't stress her by trying to force her to eat. Dust all of the food you offer her, and she'll eat when she's hungry.

Is that good advice? Did I miss anything? I'm so terribly worried about her and I hate that I can't be home until May to help.
